Welcome to the TFL approved fanlisting for Joel Barish from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Joel is a quiet introvert who decides to erase his girlfriend, Clementine, from his mind after he finds out she's done it to him. Halfway through the procedure, after reliving some of his happier times with Clementine, Joel decides that he doens't want the memories to be erased. He then attempts to outrun the erasers through the maze of his mind in the desperate attempt to hold onto his memories of the woman he loves. Joel is played to perfection by Jim Carrey. The name of this site, "Joely", is taken from the film. It's Joel's nickname that he was given by Clementine.
